To update the firmware, go to the Arlo website and download the latest firmware update for your camera. Then, follow the instructions in the update file to install the firmware on your camera.
  • If updating the firmware doesn’t help, you can always remove the camera from the Arlo account. Once the camera is removed from your Arlo account, the camera settings will be left intact. To remove your camera, go to the Arlo app and tap on the Settings icon. Then, tap on Cameras and select the camera you want to unpair. Finally, tap on Unpair Camera.
  • Place the camera in a well-lit area. The camera needs good lighting in order to record clear video. If the camera is in a dark area, you may need to use a spotlight or other light source to improve the video quality.
  • Avoid placing the camera in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight can damage the camera’s sensor and reduce the video quality. If you must place the camera in direct sunlight, you may need to use a sunshade or other shade to protect the camera.
